The Effingham has a longstanding and active social section which occaisionally organises trips.

Sundays
Sunday nights at the EFF are always good.
Every other Sunday ‘Martin and Friends’ play at the EFF. Martin and the guys have been playing in Rotherham forever (or so it seems) and it is always a good night. Guest bands play every other Sunday Night.
There is an active football team at the Eff playing in the local league.
Mondays
There is a pool team sponsored by ‘Micks Tackle Box’ playing in the Rotherham league.
Wednesdays
The ladies section meets every other Wednesday.
Thursdays
The first Thursday of every month there is a songwriters night. Acoustic only, with own compositions, folk, jazz etc. Occasionally bands play on Thursday nights.
